Belinda Jo Carlisle first appeared in the music business as a drummer in a punk rock band "The Germs" and was subsequently the founder of "The Go-Go's". Her first solo album, "Belinda" was recorded at IRS Records in 1986. Debut album was certified gold in the United States, Carlyle made knight's move: it first demonstrated the ability to compose hit melodies, turning them into cute and catchy musical product, but also demonstrated a talent for pop singers. Occupied its niche artistically, pleasant, melodic pop-rock, as if specially created for her. To say that her adored that her concert bursting, it's almost nothing to say. In the late 80's throughout the world pop scene is it that Madonna and Michael Jackson to make Carlyle compete.

As well as being multiracial, the band drew their members not only from both sides of the Irish border but also from both the Catholic and Protestant communities during The Troubles.
