Detours is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, released in February 2008. The album marks Crow reuniting with Bill Bottrell, who produced Crow's debut album, Tuesday Night Music Club and briefly worked with Crow on her 1996 self-titled album. The album returned to Crow's forte in roots rock. The album has sold over 700,000 copies worldwide as of 2010.

"Jivin' With Jordan" brings you over 100 songs from the late, great Louis Jordan's years at Decca Records, roughly the late 1930s to the very early 1950s. The music ranges from big band swing to jump blues and beyond. Jordan was one of the most influential musicians of the era and is considered an early progenitor of R&B and Rock & Roll.

The final volume in Bear Family's excellent Freddie King retrospective covering his final years is the one with the most surprises. Over the course of five CDs, the producers of this box have included all of RSO studio recordings and the funky soul-blues of King's Polydor album, Burglar, which Eric Clapton fans covet so much because he was listed as a second guitarist. Burglar was produced by Mike Vernon (with Tom Dowd producing a track) and another studio band that included bassist Carl Radle. Several of the album's outtakes and a studio version of Jimmy Rogers' "That's All Right" see release here for the first time. The second disc kicks off with the live Larger Than Life album. What's remarkable is that instead of the fade out on "Have You Ever Loved a Woman," the rest of the track and concert performance is provided as well. The other discs are all live. Sound quality ranges from very good to excellent; none of this stuff is bootleg material (it would be beneath Bear Family's exacting standards). The final cut on disc five is another previously hidden gem taken from a gig where Clapton sings "Further on Up the Road."

Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band formed in Dublin, Ireland, in December 1969. The two founding members, drummer Brian Downey and bass guitarist/vocalist Phil Lynott met each other while still in school. Lynott took up the role of frontman and speaker for the band and led them throughout their recording career of thirteen studio albums. Thin Lizzy are best known for their songs "Whiskey in the Jar", "Jailbreak" and "The Boys Are Back in Town", all major international hits still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations. After Lynott's death, various incarnations of the band have emerged over the years based around guitarists Scott Gorham and John Sykes, though Sykes left the band in June 2009.

Thin Lizzy's de facto leader, Lynott was composer or co-composer of almost all of the band's songs. He was one of the few black musicians to achieve commercial success in hard rock, and was the first black Irishman to do so. Thin Lizzy boasted some of the most critically acclaimed guitarists throughout their history, with founders Downey and Lynott as the rhythm section, on the drums and bass guitar. As well as being multiracial, the band drew their members not only from both sides of the Irish border but also from both the Catholic and Protestant communities during The Troubles. Their music reflects a wide range of influences, including country music, psychedelic rock, and traditional Irish folk music, but is generally classified as hard rock or sometimes heavy metal.[4] Rolling Stone magazine describes the band as distinctly hard rock, "far apart from the braying mid-70s metal pack"

ABBA was a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1970 which consisted of Anni-Frid "Frida" Lyngstad, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Agnetha Faltskog. They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of pop music, topping the charts worldwide from 1972 to 1982. ABBA has sold over 375 million records worldwide, which made them the fourth best-selling music artists in the history of recorded music. They still sell between two to three million albums a year. ABBA was the first pop group to come from a non-English-speaking country that enjoyed consistent success in the charts of English-speaking countries, including the UK, the U.S., Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The group also enjoyed significant success in Latin American markets (particularly Mexico, Chile and Argentina) and recorded a collection of their hit songs in Spanish. During the band's active years, Faltskog and Ulvaeus were a married couple, as were Lyngstad and Andersson–although both couples later divorced. At the height of their popularity, both relationships were suffering strain which ultimately resulted in the collapse of the Ulvaeus-Faltskog marriage in 1979 and the Andersson-Lyngstad marriage in 1981. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, these relationship changes began appearing in the group's music, as they produced more introspective lyrics with different compositions. After ABBA broke up early 1983, Andersson and Ulvaeus achieved success writing music for the stage while Lyngstad and Faltskog pursued individual solo careers with varying success. ABBA's music declined in popularity until several films, notably Muriel's Wedding and The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, revived interest in the group, spawning several tribute bands. In 1999, ABBA's music was adapted into the successful musical Mamma Mia! that toured worldwide. A film of the same name released in 2008 became the highest grossing film in the United Kingdom that year. The group was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on 15 March 2010.
