Deluxe three CD repackaging of both Depeche Mode singles collections (the single disc 81-85 and the double disc 86-98) housed in an exclusive box. This triple disc set contains all of the A-sides of the British Synth Pop band's singles from 'Dreaming Of Me' to 'Only When I Loose Myself'. Apart from including a few non-album singles, the versions of many songs featured on these discs are the single mixes which often differed from the album versions. This is a must-have for hardcore DM fans as well as those just getting started. 38 tracks total including 'Enjoy The Silence', 'Just Can't Get Enough', 'People Are People', 'Personal Jesus', 'Get The Balance Right' and many more.

These are the roots of my career in music. These tracks have determined the path to follow and many of them where revolutionary and truly progressive at the time they where originally released. I have taken the greatest care to come up with the best possible masters, sometimes comparing up to 5 different versions to find out which one sounded the best and most pure. And sometimes even baking the analog master tapes to make them playable again. The heat evaporates the moisture in the coating of the tape. The otherwise moist backing will clog up all parts of the tape recorder the tape touches, leaving a dark glue like substance grinding everything to a halt. After the backing process, the tape becomes playable again and the transfer to digital is performed. Some tracks feature a combination of vocal and dub version just as I used to perform that combination in a live DJ-set. Such a combination features the best parts from the vocal and dub version, capturing the complete feel of what that track meant to me.

12" dance collectors rejoice. Ben Liebrand has assembled a 3rd volume loaded with full length mixes, tediously mastered (some from vinyl because he couldn't find the original masters, but you really can't tell). Personally, 2 songs that make it extremely worth the price for this 4 disc set for me are the Giorgio Moroder productions: Suzi Lane, and the 12" version of Janis Ian from the Foxes soundtrack. There are also NUMEROUS hard to get 12" versions finally here on CD. Still so many more elusive mixes for Liebrand to include on future volumes, and I hope he'll take note of the request list on his website.
